Description
Large set of eight Jens Risom Playboy dining chairs professionally reupholstered in super soft and curly camel fabric. An exemplar of Mid-Century Modern design, Danish American Jens Risom was one of the first designers to introduce Scandinavian design in the United States. Not one to sacrifice esthetics over comfort, Jens Risom's pieces are recognized for their unparalleled comfort. They're not only sculptural and incredibly well made, but also ergonomic. Check out those angles. Constructed of walnut with symmetrically angled arms and seat, and angled caned seat backs. The chairs align one perfectly relieving pressure points and encouraging long dinner parties full of interesting conversation and fare. This large set of 8 dining chairs is in show ready condition and fully restored from top to bottom. Walnut frames were sanded and stained to match the original color and highlight that rich walnut grain. Seats feature new cushions and were newly upholstered in a camel or caramel colored curly fabric that contrasts beautifully with the walnut stain and grain. The super soft fabric is rated highly durable and meant to last (over 50k double rubs).
