Description
Stunning 3 seater sofa designed by the Italian trio De Pas, D’Urbino & Lomazzi for the great Poltronova manufacturer company . The segmented walnut sides and back give this design a special and dimensional appearance. Together with the bulky leather cushions it makes a balanced design with great comfort and appeal.
De Pas, D’Urbino & Lomazzi, all three born in Milan, formed their design practice in 1966, when they were in their early 30s. They worked together for 35 years, mainly on the important Via Rossini in Milan, in the design district. Their activities as designers were broad on the spectrum, architecture, town planning, objects, installations and furnishings. During the 1960s they focused especially on temporary furniture and buildings featuring avant-garde signs, materials and industrial technologies. They designed and built several inflatable houses for the Italian Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo and the 14th Milan Triennale. -
