An Important SET of 8 French Art Deco / Midcentury Modern Dining Room Chairs signed by the French master designer and decorator, Jules Leleu. This rare set of chairs expresses the height of elegance and good taste which Jules Leleu was known for. Each chair is identical has pure form and lines. The front legs are round and tapered and end in round brass sabots; the rear legs are slightly sabered. The seats are plush and generous and the seat backs are exquisitely designed and carved to show their inner architecture. Overall, they are exquisite works of art and will add grace to any residence. Jules Leleu was among the great creators in France during the Art Deco and Mid-Century periods. Numerous monographs and design articles tout his brilliant vision, design acumen, choice of the highest quality materials and excellent standards of handmade workmanship.
