Reading Lounge Chair by Karpen of California, 1950s

Description
A very comfortable lounge chair by The Karpen Company of California, circa 1950-1959. Completely restored down to its frame, fitted with all new springs, foam, straps, and dacron. Reupholstered in off-white Italian bouclé. Walnut arms and legs were redone in dark walnut, brass sabots hand-polished.
Other designers from this period include Paul McCobb, Vladimir Kagan, Hans Wegner, Gio Ponti, and T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings. -
