Pair of two T-Chairs by Katavolos, Littell and Kelley for ICF

Price Upon Request
  • Description
Pair of “T-Chairs”designed by William Katavolos, Ross Littell, and Douglas Kelley in 1952 and later manufactured in Italy by ICF in the 1960s. The design is all about lightness and tension: a sculptural chrome-plated tubular steel structure is tied together by a striking black, T-shaped connecting element, giving the chairs their nickname. Each chair features a black leather sling seat with a beautiful, naturally developed patina. The leather is secured at three points—the back and both sides—creating a floating, suspended seat that is surprisingly comfortable and still feels strong and supportive. Cleverly, the construction repeats the T motif in multiple places, turning a structural solution into a graphic design statement.
