Description
Designed by Brazilian architect, designer Lina Bo Bardi for Studio d´Arte Palma in the late 1940s, this wonderful piece is truly an architect’s chair. The chair is clear and completely honest with its construction and joints fully out in the open. Interestingly this 'unnamed' piece bears a great similarity to the work of Pierre Jeanneret from the same period, in particular his "scissor" chair designed in 1947-1949.
Although Bardi's work has found quite some praise in the past, we're sure that with the still rising interest in Brazilian design, in the coming years it will find the collectible design spotlights even more.
Note: The second picture is an example of what a change of the fabric would do with the appearance of the chair.
