Description
Rare pair of 1950 Louis Sognot lounge chairs in excellent condition. All original! The French designer collaborates with the Atelier Primavera founded in 1912 by the department store, Printemps, in order to conceive crafted modern furniture and objects. A member of the UAM from 1930, he conceives functional and elegant pieces using innovative materials, especially rattan that takes a contemporary feel within his hands. A professor at l'Ecole Boulle and l'ENSAAD, he inspires many post-war designers and contributes to the 1950s emblematic aesthetic.
