Louis XIII, Barley Twist Occasional Chairs, Fabric, Cherry, France, 17th c.

Pair of baroque armchairs designed and produced in the Netherlands in the mid to later half of the 17th century. Each example features cherry bobbin arms, vintage silk fabric, and carved legs having an H- form stretcher.
