Description
Lovely pair of midcentury French Louis XV bergère chairs. The upholstery appears to be original and shows some light wear with a water mark to one back. Seat cushions are down and quite comfortable and the fruit wood frames have a slight distressed finish. The frames have been hand-carved and decorated with scrolls, flowers, and scrolled acanthus leaves. The top rail is shaped, along with the side and front seat rails. The legs are cabriole in shape, with beautifully carved details about the knees.

Origin: France Period: 1950-1979 Materials: Fruitwood, Upholstery Condition: Good. Chairs are in nice vintage condition with light age appropriate wear. The upholstery looks to be original and show some minor wear-watermark to back of one. Frames are intentionally distressed and look great, minor scuffs and dings.
