1970s Luciano Frigerio : pair of leather scoop lounge chairs
-
Description
Italian artist, designer and musician Luciano Frigerio (1928-1999) received the Italian Order of Merit (Commendatore della Repubblica Italiana) in 1973 for his contribution to Italian design. He often often added a touch of whimsy to his furniture pieces - as this pair of sling lounge chairs demonstrates. Gorgeous sculpted cognac leather is attached to an elliptical oakwood frame with leather strapping, toggles and suede lacing. Three solid oakwood legs are connected by a radiating stretcher. Exceptional post-modern pair. Italy, 1970s.
Sold as a pair. -
