Montage has been restoring Brno Flat-Bar Chairs for years right in our very own workroom. The chairs shown feature a rich velvet in Rust from our extensive fabric collection in the color Noir. These “refined originals” evolve Mies’ famed 1929 design with a glistening Obsidian Matte powder-coated finish on their frame, a process which achieves an incredibly durable coating that will outlast countless generations to come. This finish, offered exclusively by Montage, takes this design classic to the next level and celebrates it as the art form it truly is. Each chair retains its mark of authenticity under the arm indicating “Knoll Studio” accompanied by Mies van der Rohe’s signature.
