The multi-talented and award winning Italian architect and products designer Mario Bellini (b. 1935) was a modernist who loved organic structure. The Cab series was design in the mid-1970s - and in Marios words "A stitched dress in saddle leather is mounted onto a steel frame, stretched like skin on a skeleton, in a structural and organic symbiosis." This 2-seat sofa in gorgeous Italian cognac leather and produced by Italian the powerhouse manufacturer/design house of Cassina in the 1980s.
