Description
Set of four “Normal” armchairs designed by Massimo Scolari for Giorgetti, Italy.
Each chair features a solid beechwood frame with a dark-stained finish. The structure combines rigid polyurethane for the backrest with cold-foamed flexible polyurethane padding, designed to provide both support and comfort. The seat is built on a methacrylate base with a shaped cushion in high-density polyurethane foam, covered in fiber.
The defining element is the curved, enveloping backrest, which integrates armrests into a single continuous form, offering ergonomic support. Upholstery is bi-material: brown leather on the outer shell and fabric on the inner seating surface.
Marked with Giorgetti plaque.
Condition: very good condition. Light, even signs of use consistent with age. Upholstery and structure well preserved.
A balanced example of late 20th-century Italian design, combining ergonomic research with restrained materials and clean lines. - More Information
