Description
This beautiful armchair features a modest and elegant design. From the stunning and decorative slat back to the expert woodworking, this armchair has the best qualities of mid-century modernism’s visual and material qualities.
This armchair is characterized primarily by a refined understanding of material and form. The design has a more traditional design language with clean lines and a solid construction that doesn’t depend on heavy ornamentation. Instead, the design cultivates a controlled execution with high-quality craftsmanship and the natural possibilities of the wood. This chair shows a great balance of lines and utilization of the natural beauty of the wood, which is most evident in the flowing arms and the elaborate backrest. The slats highlight the woodwork wonderfully, especially with the help of the upholstered back cushion. The removable seat and back cushions are upholstered in a premium linen fabric to assure great sitting comfort. With a clear emphasis on functionality, the designer of this armchair has processed and developed the design with independence and imagination with his own take on Modernism.
This armchair is in the vein of European mid-century modernism, with aesthetics and functionality in its focus, while also showcasing the subtle details and quality cabinetmakers are known and appreciated for.
