Description
A Rare and Elegant pair of French Mid-Century Modern Neoclassical Rattan and bamboo side chairs or lounge chairs. The chairs unite sober neoclassical sensibilities with a modern look. The pieces have a classic X-form leg structure and are constructed using rattan slatting arranged and hand sewn together to allow transparency between the slats, producing an open, modern feel. They are finished in soft, warm tones which highlight the rich, natural variations of the materials. Thus, they are beautiful, visual objects, in themselves. Finally, the chairs are of generous size; H 41 x D 24 x W 23.5 and are functional as side chairs or lounge chairs, which will fold if desired. Priced and sold by the pair.

T. Thomas Gargiulo came from a dual background as a Ph.D. in Psychology with extensive training in Art History and Anthropology to form Thomas Gallery in downtown Manhattan in 1997 to balance intellectual with design pursuits. Since its inception the gallery has seen decorative arts as a vibrant representation of human culture of each age and as a portal to understanding it. P: 917.434.4032 E: thomasgalleryltd@gmail.com
