Description
Pair of footstools with a solid wood structure, upholstered in green faux leather, and metal legs with brass ends. Italy, 1960s.
This pair of Italian footstools from the 1960s features a solid wood structure, green faux-leather upholstery, and metal legs with brass ends. The design reflects materials and construction methods characteristic of mid-century Italian furniture, combining visual lightness with structural stability. The elongated seat shape and balanced leg proportions create a clean, functional profile suitable for use as auxiliary seating or as an accent piece alongside a console or dressing table.
The green faux-leather upholstery offers a uniform surface that introduces subtle colour while maintaining a restrained visual presence. The brass-tipped legs provide a material detail that reinforces the mid-century Italian identity of the piece. The footstools retain their original character, with well-preserved finishes and solid construction, making them ready for immediate use. This pair is suitable for residential interiors, hospitality environments or curated spaces seeking genuine 1960s Italian pieces that integrate easily into contemporary or vintage-inspired settings.
