Pair of Swedish 20th Century Barrel-Back Armchairs

Made in Sweden in the early twentieth century, around 1910, this pair of barrel-back armchairs features curved forms and neoclassical lines. The barrel back, a continuous curved back that wraps around the sitter, gives the chairs an enclosing, comfortable form, while the neoclassical lines provide restraint and balance.
