Pair of Swedish Gustavian Style 1890s Painted Wood Armchairs with Guilloches

Description
A pair of Swedish Gustavian style painted wood armchairs from the late 19th century, with carved guilloche frieze and upholstery. Created in Sweden during the later years of the 19th century, each of this pair of armchairs features a straight back connected to two slightly curving arms with scrolling knuckles. Showcasing an upholstered seat with delicate flowers resting on an apron carved with guilloche motifs on three sides, each chair is raised on four fluted legs adorned with rosettes on the knees. Painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, this pair of Gustavian style armchairs circa 1890 will bring an undeniable touch of elegance to any bedroom or living room.
