Description
This graceful pair of Swedish Rococo armchairs embodies the refined curves and expressive craftsmanship of 18th-century Scandinavian design. Elegantly carved from wood and retaining traces of their original paint and patina, the chairs display the soft, timeworn finish so prized by collectors and designers alike. The sculpted backs feature fluid, asymmetrical lines and pierced splats, while the cabriole legs terminate in carved paw feet — a hallmark of Rococo exuberance and artistry. The generously proportioned seats have been newly upholstered in a neutral linen, providing a fresh complement to the aged frames. With their sinuous silhouettes, scrolling arms, and rich historical character, these armchairs serve as striking statement pieces in both classical and contemporary interiors. Perfect for a salon, library, or entryway, they embody the elegance and lightness of the Rococo period while offering the comfort and sophistication expected of timeless Swedish craftsmanship.
This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions! -
