Pair of Easy Chairs in Beech & Rattan by Peter Hvidt/Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, 1959

This rare pair of easy chairs, model FH-6135—commonly referred to as the X-chair—was designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen and produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark. Each chair is constructed from laminated beech, shaped into an elegant and architecturally expressive frame.
