Description
In 1967, Pierre Chapo designed the S 24 chair for his friend, Dr. Hiroshi Nakajima. With this model, he highlighted the strength of angled half-lap joints to ensure the rigidity of a chair with a very minimalist silhouette. The only decorative elements are the reinforced junctions between the seat frame and the legs, marked by visible hex-socket screws; the same applies to the backrest. The seat leather is tensioned by a clever weaving of cords underneath. These chairs are made of elm wood and are upholstered with new full-grain leather. Over time, the currently very light color will naturally darken.
