Description
This iconic low chair, known as the "Armless easy chair", was created for the city of Chandigarh in India, the utopian city designed by his cousin Le Corbusier. Made of solid teak with seat and backrest in braided cane work. Flat profiled "compass"-type double side leg assembly, connected by two crosspieces. Tilted backrest, slightly curved, attached to the seat by two supports at the bottom. This design is a true icon, one of the most famous pieces of all Chandigarh items.
Another interesting and nowadays relevant fact about these and other Chandigarh chairs is that all pieces were made from the trees which were logged because of the built city, so an early adaptation of ecological thinking. We have two of these chairs available, priced per piece.
