Description
Pair of Alpha Lounge Chairs — Zero90 Collection
By Proisy Studio. Numbered Edition.
The Alpha lounge chair is one of the defining elements of Proisy Studio’s Zero90 collection. Crafted from solid oak and elevated by polished and varnished brass legs, it combines the strength of noble materials with the precision of architectural lines. Its generous seat, upholstered in textured velvet, offers measured comfort, while its silhouette emerges as a pure geometric statement designed to structure space with elegance.
The Zero90 collection was born from a radical aesthetic manifesto: to explore a formal language free of both curves and right angles. This radical constraint becomes a fertile field of creation, demanding absolute precision in cabinetmaking. Every joint defines a pure volume, every module sets a geometric rhythm. With Alpha, rigor becomes poetry, a dialogue of solids and voids, where the structure resonates with its environment.
Designed as an open system, Zero90 unfolds through a play of correspondences between the Alpha lounge chairs, the Zeta sofas, and the Theta coffee tables. Each module, autonomous by essence, can be combined to create endless configurations, from intimate settings to monumental interiors. This interplay of seats and surfaces, of volumes and planes, shapes a modular landscape where every element reinforces the harmony of the whole. More than a collection, Zero90 is articulated as an architectural grammar to be interpreted according to spaces and projects.
Beyond its function, Alpha embodies the ethos of Proisy Studio: safeguarding the ancestral savoir-faire of French craftsmanship while projecting it into a resolutely contemporary vision. Each piece is conceived, crafted, and upholstered by hand in the studio’s workshops in France, by a dedicated team of artisans whose mastery ensures uncompromising excellence.
Presented within the realm of collectible design, Alpha asserts itself as a sculptural creation: a collectible piece conceived to both accompany and transform space. Under the vision of its founder and designer, Steve Proisy, it embodies a lineage between the heritage of the decorative arts and a contemporary identity, shaped by a discerning eye, a patiently cultivated expertise, and a sensibility refined by a passion for detail and materials.
