Description
A rare and elegant set of eight period Gustavian side chairs, crafted in Lindome, Sweden, circa 1800. These chairs exemplify the refined neoclassical aesthetic for which Gustavian furniture is celebrated, with delicate proportions, carved details, and distinctive oval openwork backs that lend a light and graceful presence. The frames have been later painted in a soft bluish-grey tone, gently distressed to highlight the original carvings and patina beneath. Newly upholstered in a natural linen, the chairs balance antique character with fresh, understated sophistication. The seats are generously sized and comfortable, making them ideal for dining or as occasional chairs throughout the home. A timeless addition to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions! -
