The Walking Bench was originally created for the indoor/outdoor entry foyer at the Kips Bay Show House in Dallas, Texas. The impetus for the design was that the bench looks kinetic as if it has its own energy to physically walk on its own. Typically, benches feel so static and lack personality; however, the angled legs and balanced composition of the Walking Bench give it life and character as if taking a “walk”, hence the name. It is offered in different lengths for different applications and settings (the longer the bench, the more legs and the more visual energy it exudes). Available in a variety of different natural stone materials from basalt, granite, marble, limestone, and travertine to onyx and quartzite.
