Description
A Pair of Very Large Mid-Century Modern 'Sculptura' Wrought Iron and Steel Mesh Lounge Chairs powder coated in Silver by Russel Woodard, circa 1950-1960. The armchairs offer a luxurious, transparent aesthetic that became a fundamental concept of modern design and living. Transparency allows light and energy to enter, transforming the piece and surrounding space into an ethereal dimension. These pieces are in a rare, large, comfortable lounge chair size, suitable for a living room or outdoor lounge area and can be used with seat and partial back cushions. The pair has newly been sandblasted, cleaned and powder coated in silver. The condition is very good. Dimensions: H 28 x W 32 x D 29"; Seat height without a cushion 14".
