Sam Maloof "Hueter" Lounge Chair in Solid Walnut, 1950s
This iconic lounge chair, a hallmark of mid-century modern design, showcases Sam Maloof's craftsmanship and artistry. The "Hueter" chair was first crafted in 1954 for Maloof's artist friend Jim Hueter and has become one of his most celebrated designs.
Features:
Material: Solid oiled walnut
Design: Wide armrests, spindle back, and dovetail joints on the seat frame
Signed on underside [Maloof California]
Upholstery: Cushioned seat and back reupholstered in high-quality cotton fabric by Great Plains
Condition:
Woodwork: Lightly sanded and refinished with five coats of lustrous oil
Upholstery: Reupholstered to original specifications with new foam
