Description
This beautiful Scandinavian two-seater sofa recalls the peak of Nordic Mid-Century Modern design. Thanks to its curved shape and slim, tapered legs, this two-seater is exceptionally cosy and elegant. Curved sofas, like this model, are statement pieces in any space - especially when dressed in such a unique fabric like sheepskin -, but they are also often called conversation sofas for a reason.
Thanks to its crescent shape, this sofa is designed to bring people closer together to create a cosy atmosphere, which is a core concept of Scandinavian design. The visual appearance of this sofa hides a structure that was made with exquisite craftsmanship, guaranteeing quality and consequently, longevity. Many of the well-known Scandinavian architects of the era felt the urge to try their hands at two- and three-seater sofas, adhering to the period’s streamlined modernism. In combination with the unadorned styles of mid-century design and the contrasting lush sheepskin, this sofa brings together the best attributes of the era. The slim wooden legs add a modern, organic feel, balancing out the voluptuous profile of the sofa. Adding to visual interest is the premium sheepskin upholstery, which has a highly textured look. The fabric pairs incredibly well with the curvilinear shape of this sofa.
In Scandinavian design, things are made to last rather than to be replaced, while the home enhances an unburdened lifestyle. Living well is in itself a form of art, and furniture design is meant to complement it. This sofa is ideal to serve these purposes in an elegant, comfortable, and stylish manner.
