Description
Scandinavian Modernism can be visually described by this beautiful armchair: sleek, organic and timeless. These attributes are met with high quality materials and the famous craftsmanship of Scandinavian cabinetmakers.
This curved armchair’s comfort is equalled by its stylishness and elegance. The chair is raised on dark stained wood legs and is covered in a beautiful, soft wool blend fabric that highlights its curvy silhouette. A conspicuous feature of this model is the design of the back and the armrests. Here the back widens such as a fan and has a slightly enveloping shape that hugs the sitter. Additionally, the armrests have an outward curving shape that opens up the design which creates an interesting look, not to mention the level of comfort. The design is visibly centred around the sitter’s comfort, aided by the button tufted back, the generous seat, and curved armrests. The Scandinavian design principle of functionality is therefore fulfilled to the maximum. Furthermore, the sitter of this chair is “hugged” by the gentle, light soft wool which pronounces this chair’s captivating lines even further, while also highlighting the warm colour of the tapered legs. Thanks to the properties of premium wool fibre, this chair provides an exceptionally high level of visual and functional comfort.
The cabinetmaker behind this chair had a uniquely Scandinavian design idiom, which is clearly visible in this model: function, durability, timeless design, and perhaps above all, comfort. This traditional yet essentially mid-century modern chair combines all of these attributes, which makes it ideal to be the focal point of any space.
