Description
Sculptural Scandinavian wabi-sabi chair with a four-legged base. With its remarkable patina, the design reminds us of the wabi-sabi philosophy which centres around the appreciation of the beauty of natural imperfection. The concept of wabi-sabi finds its roots in old Japanese traditions. The idea involves the understanding that everything ages with grace, and becomes more beautiful as it breaks, fades, or scars. It is the understanding that old and worn out things have their own elegant charm.
This sculptural wabi-sabi chair is in great original condition and would fit well in a zen-inspired Axel Vervoordt style interior.
