Description
Exceptional set of fourteen French 19th-century Louis XIV style dining chairs, distinguished by their characteristic “os de mouton”cabriole legs and richly sculpted walnut frames.
The chairs feature tall, elegantly shaped upholstered backs and generously padded seats, finished with refined nailhead trim. Their beautifully carved legs display the pronounced, sinuous curves typical of the os de mouton form, terminating in elegant scroll feet and joined by elaborate, undulating wooden stretchers.
The warm, richly patinated walnut contrasts beautifully with the mustard-yellow velvet upholstery.
A rare complete set of fourteen matching chairs, particularly suitable for a grand dining room, château, historic residence, or sophisticated contemporary interior.
