Description
A set of eight George III Hepplewhite painted armchairs, circa 1790, having pierced shield backs above rush and squab cushion seats flanked by down-swept arms, on tapering ring-turned legs joined by stretchers. Retaining much painted decoration depicting urns, bellflowers and swags to backs, arms, aprons and legs. Original rush seats.
Seat measurements with cushions: 18 1/2" high x 17 1/2" wide x 16 1/2" deep -
