Description
Set of four English Arts and Crafts oak and leather chairs, designed by William James Neatby, having arched crests with carved decoration, over original slip leather seats, the square tapered legs joined by stretchers, the whole with good color. William James Neatby (1860–1910), was an English architect, designer and artist. He is best known for his designs of architectural ceramics and was chief ceramic designer for Doulton and Co. The tiled dining hall at Harrods is probably his most well-known work.
