            Description

A striking set of four French Art Deco chairs from the 1920s–1930s, masterfully crafted in solid wood veneered with flamed walnut, highlighted by bois de rose and fine boxwood fillets. The design showcases the refined geometry and elegant restraint of the Art Deco era, with each backrest featuring a sculptural “ace of spades” motif — both decorative and structural. The warm walnut veneers reveal dynamic grain patterns, enhanced by delicate rosewood and boxwood detailing that emphasize the craftsmanship’s precision. The gently curved uprights and saber-shaped front legs provide balance, comfort, and visual rhythm. Each chair retains its original removable seat, upholstered in an ivory and beige striped fabric consistent with the period, showing light signs of age. Combining harmony, craftsmanship, and sophisticated simplicity, this ensemble embodies the timeless spirit of French Art Deco design, ideal for both period and contemporary interiors.
