    French, early 20th Century
    Armchairs: Height 103cm, width 56cm, depth 50cm
    Side chairs: Height 87cm, width 43cm, depth 40cm
     
    The chairs in this set are crafted in the Régence style, which held sway during the early decades of the eighteenth century, during the period between the Baroque and Rococo styles of Louis XIV and Louis XV, respectively.
     
    The chairs feature carved mahogany frames. The two side chairs feature oval backrests finished with cream upholstery, and cushioned seats above carved seat rails and legs. The pair of arm chairs are similarly formed, each with a large backrest and armrests finished with upholstery.
