Description
Sue et Mare stool (#1748)
Classic French Art Deco stool by Louis Sue & Andre Mare, circa 1925, in mahogany. Signed with wood-burned monogram. 15” diameter x 20” high. This model was shown at the The International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts held in Paris, France, from April to October 1925. Sue & Mare’s Compagnie des Arts Francais had its own pavilion at the Exposition and this model was shown with their piano. It is pictured in period documentation and also in Sue et Mare et la Compagnie des Arts Francais. Please see photos. - More Information
