Swedish Biedermeier Neoclassical Daybed
-
Description
This is a superb example of a Swedish Neoclassical Biedermeier Daybed or Recamier that dates to c. 1825 1840. The recamier is in overall very good condition. It is upholstered in a neutral deep beige/sage and, although not new, the upholstery is in very good condition. The satinwood frame is beautifully crafted and combines influences of both the Louis XV and Louis XVi periods. The side rails feature alternating dark and light inlaid sections. This Classic daybed is ready to ship to its new home and would incorporate beautifully into either a traditional or contemporary aesthetic.
