An authentic Swedish Rococo chair manufactured in Stockholm circa 1770. This period example features an unusually decorated frame, distinguished by its sculptural back splat and subtly expressive carved details, setting it apart from more common provincial models.

The surface has been carefully scraped back to reveal the original finish, exposing a softly aged patina with visible tool marks and wear consistent with 18th-century use. The proportions are elegant and well balanced, with a shaped back, cabriole legs, and a contoured seat rail typical of Rococo design in Sweden during this period.

The seat is upholstered in a neutral fabric, allowing the character of the wood and surface to remain the focus. Structurally sound and visually compelling, this chair represents high-quality Stockholm craftsmanship and offers strong decorative presence, whether displayed as a single accent piece or incorporated into a broader Scandinavian interior.
