Description
A rare stool in pine by Torsten Claeson, Sweden.
This stool was presented in 1939 at the Röhsska Museum as "sports cottage furniture"; a type of furniture that became popular at the time, typically made of solid pine with a robust feeling.
The stool is very well constructed with excellent craftsmanship in every detail. The proportions are well balanced and give an elegant feel together with the organic shapes.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The surface is original with a beautiful patina. Small crack at the end of one of the legs.
Four matching chairs are also available. -
