Description
Excellent condition Hundevad Stool in black with original labeled leather. Solid teak. 1957 Denmark, signed "Guldhoj". Poul Hundevad (1917-2011) was a Danish furniture designer and craftsman who was active from the 1940s to the 1970s. He is best known for his elegant and functional mid-century modern furniture designs, which were often made from high-quality materials such as teak, rosewood, and leather. Hundevad's designs were influenced by the Scandinavian design movement, which emphasized simplicity, functionality, and natural materials. He was particularly known for his use of teak, which he sourced from sustainably managed forests in Africa and Asia.
