An elegant pair of side chairs produced by the Warren McArthur Corporation, known for pioneering modern furniture design using lightweight anodized aluminum. These chairs exemplify McArthur’s signature streamlined aesthetic, combining tubular aluminum construction with tailored upholstery.
The frames are constructed of anodized aluminum, highlighting the industrial precision and modernist sensibility that defined McArthur’s work during the 1930s and 1940s. The seats and backs have been reupholstered in nubby wool, complementing the clean lines of the aluminum frames while maintaining a period-appropriate texture.
