Warren McArthur South Hampton Model 635 Lounge Chairs, 1935
Description:
Pair of Warren McArthur “South Hampton” model 635 lounge chairs, designed in 1935 and produced by the Warren McArthur Corporation.
The chairs feature McArthur’s signature tubular aluminum construction with nylon strapping, rubber floor bumpers, and rubber arm bumpers. A strong example of early American modernist design, the model reflects McArthur’s innovative use of lightweight industrial materials and clean architectural form.
