A hand-carved sculptural chair by Ian Spencer and Cairn Young of Yard Sale Project, the Corsican pushes the limits of the traditional chair form. This unique work, asymmetrical in form and comprised of an astonishing array of over twenty-five hardwoods, is an unprecedented accomplishment in wood.

Yard Sale Project developed the “chaos theory,” a construction method that transcends traditional material boundaries. In the Corsican chair, the chaotic combination of various woods becomes harmonious and balanced in a smooth, curving form.

Yard Sale Project’s one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture combine Young’s highly accomplished technical designs with Spencer’s master craftsmanship. Yard Sale Project’s work resides in prestigious collections and has been exhibited worldwide.

As Yard Sale Project works on a commission basis, custom versions of the Corsican Chair may be commissioned.
