18th Century Elm Wood Baroque Chest Of Drawers, South Germany ca. 1770

Sold Sold
  • Description
Extraordinary 18th century Baroque chest of drawers made in the period around 1770 in South Germany. What is really special about this over 240 year old baroque commode, is the very rare cubature as well as the uncommon used, beautiful elm wood veneer. Providing three drawers, all still keeping the original old forged locks (unfortunately the key is missing), this antique dresser offers also lots of storage space. The amazing designed lines and the traditional hand-polished shellac finish combined with artfully made brass applications make this unique late 18th century chest of drawers a really special and peerless piece of valuable, authentic baroque furniture.
