Description
A charming 18th Century Louis XV painted commode from France’s Vallée du Rhône, this elegant piece embodies the graceful movement and craftsmanship associated with the period. Its distinctive arbalète, or crossbow-shaped, front and top create the softly serpentine silhouette so prized in Louis XV furniture. The commode features three drawers with hand-cut dovetail construction, a testament to its fine 18th century craftsmanship, and retains its original hand-crafted bronze drawer pulls. The painted finish, mellow with age, enhances its authentic provincial character and makes this commode a beautiful and versatile addition to both traditional and collected interiors.
