Appealing 19th century cherrywood cabinet, handcrafted in the famous Biedermeier period in Austria around 1825. The clean, straight shaped body made of spruce shows a fantastic fine veneered cherrywood surface, sealed by a traditional handpolished shellac finish. The cross-veneered pilasters are slightly grooved and confers this masterpiece an extraordinary look. Standing solid on traditional so-called shaped "stamp" feet and providing a two-door front with an outstanding mirrormatched grain, this Biedermeier cabinet impresses with an absolute timeless appearance. Inside this lovely antique cabinet you will find a practical chromed cloth rail and an additional small compartment above. The lock is fully functionable and adorned by an artfully made brass key blade. A real eye-catching, perfect sized example of an early 19th century Biedermeier cabinet coming in great old restored condition.
