Lovely 20th century Baroque style chest of drawers from the period around 1940 in Italy. A fantastic looking, perfect sized chest of drawers providing three drawers. This piece has been elaborately handcrafted by Italian carpenters in the 1940s and impresses with its artfully curved Baroque design. Beautifully veneered with fine nut/ walnut (the veneer has been nailed by hand with very tiny wooden nails - you can see the small dots everywhere), this extraordinary 20th century commode shows additionally inlayed delicate maple thread frames on the sides, the top plate as well as on the drawers front. Standing on elegantly curved, solid nutwood feet which show amazing looking handcarved details on the two front feet, this outstanding piece of 20th century baroque revival furniture, comes in good original condition with signs of age & use - see detailed pictures.
