This striking commode features a dramatically shaped double-bombé case crafted from richly figured burr walnut, creating a powerful architectural presence. The serpentine front is configured with three long drawers displaying highly matched, undulating walnut veneers. Each drawer front is mounted with ornate, dark bronze-toned escutcheons and swing handles cast with classical scrolling details.

The chest is topped with a thick walnut slab boasting a molded serpentine edge that echoes the contours of the body. Below, a deeply carved, shaped apron anchors the base, which is elevated on robust, hand-carved front claw-and-ball feet with detailed knuckle definition, grounding the chest securely while raw panel bracket feet support the rear.

At approximately 39″ wide and only 16.5″ deep, it is especially versatile for an entry, bedroom, library, or beneath a substantial mirror or artwork.
