Aldo Tura Style Padlock Spirits Dry Home Bar Cabinet, Italy, 1970s
-
Description
A fantastic spirits house bar for wall mounting, masterfully handcrafted in the shape of a vintage padlock from the 1970s in Italy. The body is finished in a rich, dark Bordeaux red high-gloss lacquer, beautifully contrasting with the solid brass fittings, lock, and ornate decorations. This exceptional piece is likely unique, entirely handcrafted to a high standard and not mass-produced.
The double-bitted key is a particularly impressive feature. Inside, the bar includes a mirror and glass shelves, perfect for displaying spirits and glassware. Recently repainted, the bar remains in very good condition, showcasing a beautifully aged brass patina. A minor hairline crack on the underside is hardly noticeable and does not detract from its overall charm.
Echoing the iconic designs of Aldo Tura and Piero Fornasetti, this bar unit reflects a comparable level of quality and aesthetic excellence. It would make a captivating addition to any interior, offering both visual appeal and practical utility. -
