A handsome 17th-century Italian chest of drawers in solid walnut, notable for its sculptural, molded façade and warm, deeply aged surface. The chest features three drawers arranged in a slightly shaped front, giving the piece a grounded and architectural presence. The top is made from a single walnut plank — a detail that speaks to both age and quality of timber selection during the period. The drawers slide smoothly, having been re-guided for functional daily use, and are fitted with bronze knobs that complement the rich tone of the wood. The sides are molded as well, creating continuity and visual weight without heaviness. The chest rests on classic onion-turned feet, which add lift and a gentle curve to balance the structured lines above.
